Welcome! This is a website that everyone can build together. It's easy!

Health, Wholeness and Spirituality HomeThis is a featured page

This site is about telling people that 'spirituality' is good for your general 'health' or wholeness. If you're not sure what spirituality actually is check it out on the 'what is spirituality' page and see if its for you.

Lotus Flower.

Add to it if you have had experiences of losing hope and finding it again through a spiritual activity. Add to it if you have lost your way too.

  • It could be going to church, synagogue or mosque.
  • It could be a 'new age' activity like channelling or crystals
  • It could be meditating or running.
  • It could be singing or praying.
  • It could be having animals or pets
  • It could be climbing mountains
  • It could be an activity you do alone or with other people.

Just tell us what helps you and other visitors will benefit from your thoughts or dialogue with you.

Also if you have had spiritual experiences that have been diagnosed as mental health problems and not acknowledged we would be interested to hear from you. There is help and support available on this site.

You will find some alternative views on hearing voices on this site from information about spirits.

You don't have to believe there is a spirit world or believe there is a creator to join this site or believe in 'past lives' but you will find information about it as it is part of what the subject is about. Spirituality for you is whatever helps you to live a meaningful and healthy life. The site is about learning to tolerate beliefs what ever they may be to honour and value them in yourself and other people. Maybe you will feel you want to change your beliefs but you may prefer to stay as you are. Whatever you decide the choice is yours. This is your life.

The aim of the site is to be a resource, haven or port in a storm for people who are struggling with their mental health but don't particulary want to admit it! Actually 1 in 4 people do have such problems but 'coming out' can cause you to fear losing your job, having problems getting insurance and being stigmatised. Hopefully this will become in time a secure and safe place think about it without getting sucked into doctors, psychiatrists and other such nutters! Health simply means being whole. Mental health is not separate from physical health and spiritual health as the NHS seems to think. You can find out about 'critical' psychiatry which aims to use another approach to your health and help you to keep in 'work' but actually enjoy it. It tries not to stigmatise you and label you as 'mad', 'crazy' 'off the wall' 'looney' or a 'nutter'. It will tell you about 'healthy' workplaces which appreciate who you are. All this will happen as people join the group and start posting on it. It is not aiming to become a large group. In fact if it gets too big it will defeat its purpose. Join for a while then leave it again when you feel like it. No hassle, cool, laid back, whatever. However, there is a disclaimer on the site. The views expressed by advertisers and members are not necessarily those of living spirit, the 'publisher'.

The Department of Health - NHS funding for the National Spirituality and Mental Health Project in the Health Service was withdrawn from the end of March 2008 which has given great concern to all engaged in providing education and training to in-service employees in the various Mental Health Trusts in all regions. The Department has suggested that the Forum take over the responsibility for the co-ordination and monitoring of the NHS Project led by Professor Peter Gilbert, for which the Forum is urgently seeking funding. The Forum is seeking a Grant from the DoH, but such funds that may be granted over a three year period will not be available until the next fininancial year i.e. from April 2009.

I have just read in a newsletter of the Church's Fellowship for Psychic and Spiritual Research that someone went to a Pentecostal church and picked up an Indian spirit guide. Has that happened to anyone. Did the communication help them?
